What is #pinkpolo ? At its core it can be described as a mindset, a mantra to be used repeatedly. It is not however a “movement”, those things die after a while. However greatness does not, and this is the underlying factor that makes #pinkpolo more than just a movement! To graze the surface, it is an idea built on over-achievement, freedom of expression, creativity, originality and love. From Kanye to Charles Hamilton, everyone has talked about it. Songs have been made about this idea, this form of thinking which eliminates barriers and has success as its main objective. You may think that you’re #winning but #pinkpolo is winning on steroids!
Cre3sol presents for its third installement, “My Pink P.O.L.O” a creative dish of art and music. The event will again take place at The Bohemian Coffee House Saturday April 2nd at 7pm. For the first time ever, visual artist Arthur “Champ” Brown will be presenting his artwork. The night also offers a Fresh batch of hip-hop that will blow you away and leave that nostalgic feeling of back in the day. Performances will include the multimedia sensation BeatBox featuring a few of its respected artists: Eyez, Aja Malone, and rap duo 3913, which comprises of Abdul Boogie aka Kozmik & Darryl Griffin. And last but not least, hot up and coming artist DreBabes fresh off his new mixtape.
You do not want to miss this event! If you love REAL Hip Hop and Art, then come on down and enjoy both because this night promises to be memorable. Mark your calendars!
Blogger, Doreen Bolger, was at the last Cre3sol event in February and wrote up a wonderful review. (tho with a few mistakes)
Ever watch tv or listen to the radio and see the images of women and think to yourself—does anyone actually act like that? OR listen to the countless songs and see the images and think— do women get any respect!? OR ever been to an open mic or performance and realize they’re ALL male artists performing, even with mostly female audience?
WELLLL…Our 2nd event ever, to take place March 5th at 7pm at Bohemian Coffeehouse is all about the ladies! Alll female artists (minus band) and all females on the open mic. The great young scholar songstresses and songwriters Kriss Mincey and Nyoka Ny-D are our features this month and you’re sure to be in love! Even better we have Suzi Analogue bringing the nail art stylings of Nail Tite and funky clothing of SWRV. Wait.. not done.. AND we have visual artist extraordinaires Erin Robinson and Clare Elliot (check the ingredients section).
So.. only thing missing is you! Special shout out to ALL the talented women out there! It’s all about sharing, building and having fun! This one is certainly not to be missed!
